Khaokho Talaypu is aware that producing agricultural products alone cannot ensure sustained
security under present-day economic and social conditions. For successful self-reliance on
the individual, community or national level, agricultural products must be processed. This is a strategy for
development, for Thailand is rich in both natural resources and native genius. Processing
agricultural products not only enhances their value but also extends their sales life.
Fresh agricultural products have to be sold quickly because they deteriorate rapidly, thus placing
the producer at a disadvantage with respect to the buyer. Processing helps ameliorate this problem.
Khaokho Talaypu has been gradually developing processing facilities. The guiding principle has
been to produce a variety of products and avoid producing a lot of any one product, in line with our
commitment to diversity in our agricultural practice. This has enabled us to maintain quality in our
products and to acquire new experience in production. We at Khaokho Talaypu are ready
and willing to transfer or exchange the knowledge we have acquired with those who are
interested, be they state or private agencies, in order to stimulate utilization of domestic
raw materials, particularly vegetables, fruit, and herbs, for we aspire to become a production,
sales, and research and development center for such products.
Khaokho Talaypu offers a wide variety of goods useful for life, including
foods, beverages, cosmetics, medicines, and handicraft items. Among these
are herbal teas, herbal extracts, fruit and herbal beverages, essential oils, aromatic products,
scented goods, herbal compresses, herbal medicines, herbal odor
absorbers, shampoos and hair conditioners, liquid and bar soaps, balms, herbal facial
scrubs, jams, baked goods, chilli pastes, wines, cotton fabrics, basketry, and cutlery.
